finally... I've been waiting for someone to do a write up on this for a month! Thanks for finding this for us.
It is funny how back then, the TSX and RSX owners wanted to convert their FOBs like the accord and now, the Accord owners want to convert their FOBs to the new TL FOBs.

Here is something from the Toronto Accords forum:
http://forums.torontoaccords.com/viewtopic.php?t=43428&highlight=tl+key
The key is $40ish + taxes and $85ish + plus taxes (Cut + Programming). It seems that getting it cut from a HONDA dealership is around ~$20. I wonder will they do that for us..
Hey Tuck, do you have instructions on programming the remote? It will save us a lot money. ::)

I can work a deal on the keys if you are interested.
Cutting the key is another story and you would have to have that done at your dealer.
As far as programming i'm pretty sure the dealer needs to do it using the HIM. _________________ 2010 TW CSX TYPE S

I sold 5 of these keys to JDM+ but haven't heard back so i'm guessing they worked fine.
The price is right, usually these keys can very expensive. _________________ 2010 TW CSX TYPE S

The HIM is the Honda Interface Module.
They are probably right you only need the HIM for 07 and newer vehicles for programming.
Why are you and Jet hiding? _________________ 2010 TW CSX TYPE S

Hiding? huh? I'm really out of it today... ::) This is what happens when you get only 2 hours of sleep.
So.. is it easy to program by yourself?

Cool... If Nammer is successful with his key, I will definitely consider getting one too..
I'm going to call up the local dealerships to see how much they charge for cutting and programming...
The only thing that scares me is having to pop out the immobilizer chip myself and putting it in the new key... _________________

Good idea.::)
I have a key cutter here but Acura is really strict with the security cutting keys.I have to have the customer show at least one picture ID and ownership of the vehicle which I then need to photocopy. We then both need to sign a form and all cut keys are recorded.
As far as programming you will need the HIM to program the key to start the car but I can get the instructions on how to make the remote work the doorlocks ect.
If you are able to swap out the chip which shouldn't be a problem you will not need the HIM to reprogram the key to start the car. _________________ 2010 TW CSX TYPE S
